CASE STUDY #2, LAWTON, OK
A large governmental contractor commissioned Claim Resolved to examine three military base housing neighborhoods after their insurance carrier completed an inspection and sounded the “all clear,” no damage found. Our random examination found that at least 80% of the roofing systems exhibited hail damage which would require full roofing replacement. Incredulous, the carrier hired an engineering firm to back up their denial.
-
Engineer’s report concurred with Claim Resolved’s damage assessment, resulting in a revised claim for damages surpassing $5.3 million. -
Corporate management requested further inspection of remaining base neighborhoods, community centers, and management office areas. -
Storm-related damages discovered in two additional residential areas and local offices during inspection. -
Mutual inspection conducted with insurance carrier and their consultant, who agreed to all additional damages. -
Carriers’ estimates did not account for unique challenges of working on a U.S. Military base and compliance with the Mavis Bacon Act. -
Claim Resolved’s final estimate for covered losses exceeded $8.5 million.
